CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR JFJ 2021 INVESTIGATIVE GRANT PROGRAMME

Grant Justice for Journalists is a foundation set up in order to investigate violent crimes against journalists who have been targeted as a result of their professional duties. Grants are available to investigative journalists, both professional and non-professional (bloggers, social activists), both in wartime and peacetime.

LORENZO NATALI MEDIA PRIZE 2021

Grant The #NataliPrize was created by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships, and named after Lorenzo Natali, a precursor to the international partnerships approach to global challenges impacting society. There will be up to three winners this year, each winner will receive 10,000€. The winner of the Best Emerging Journalist category will also be offered a work experience opportunity with a media partner.

JOURNALISMFUND.EU LAUNCHES NEW GRANT PROGRAMME: MODERN SLAVERY UNVEILED

Grant This grant programme aims to enable independent journalistic investigations into the exploitation of Asian victims of human trafficking and forced labour in Europe. Cross-border teams of professional journalists can apply for a grant to cover working time and/or expenses to investigate, document and expose aspects and cases of forced labour, cross-continental trafficking and other issues related to the exploitation of Asian victims in Europe. Next to a grant, teams can also apply for a mentor to provide assistance with either the focus of the investigation or the need for competences in a specific skill.

Funded by the Ford Foundation and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), the Arab Council for the Social Sciences (ACSS) is accepting submissions for its grants program on the theme of “Health and livelihoods in the Arab region: wellbeing, vulnerability and conflict.”

ILO SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR GLOBAL MEDIA COMPETITION ON LABOUR MIGRATION & FAIR RECRUITMENT

Grant The competition aims to promote quality reporting on labour migration issues. It will give awards to two published media pieces. For the first time it will also give prizes for two ‘synopses’ of stories to be developed on labour migration or fair recruitment.
