GFMD is delighted to partner with BBC Media Action and a consortium of other media development organisations in the new “Protecting Independent Media for Effective Development” (PRIMED) project, alongside eight other media development organisations.
On 9 July, 33 press freedom and media development organisations met in London in advance of the Global Media Freedom Conference to call on all participating States to ensure the protection and safety of all journalists and media workers in compliance with their existing obligations and international standards.

The CIJ Summer Conference is the UK’s only journalism training event with an emphasis on teaching investigative skills. They offer a mixture of talks, demos, and hands-on classes which are designed to equip journalists and anyone interested in investigations with the up-to-date investigative methods and tools.

The Global Alliance for Social and Behavior Change will organise a side event at Women Deliver 2019. The event, titled “The Power of Communication for Gender Equality”, aims to illustrate how members of the Global Alliance for Social and Behaviour Change use media, communication, and social and behaviour change to challenge and redefine gender relations.
