Grant GRID-Arendal is a non-profit environmental communications centre based in Norway and supported by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, among other donors. GRID-Arendal is offering grants for investigative journalism projects focused on environmental crime in developing countries. Currently, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we seek to support investigative reporting that involves little to no travel.

Grant Media organisations can now apply for the last round of the European Development Journalism Grants programme. Eight grants worth €112,500 on average each will be awarded to media outlets in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom to report on global development topics during the course of one year.

Grant The EU has announced a call for applications to Support Independent Media Serving the General Interest in the Southern Neighbourhood. The global objective of this call for proposals is to support pluralism, independence and resilience of independent media that contribute to the democratic aspirations and resilience in the societies in the region of the Southern Neighbourhood. The specific objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen the independence of independent media and journalists serving the public interest.

USAID’S BMAP 3RD MEDIA INNOVATION LAB: REPORTING ETHICALLY DURING A PANDEMIC

Grant The Media Innovation Lab will gather lead experts in the field and provide different perspectives, teach new skills, and inspire participants to tackle new challenges! On the last day, participants will present their projects to a jury for a chance to receive seed funding of up to $5,000 USD to further develop their prototypes and ideas after the event into full-fledged tools and projects that can be rolled out for use by media across the region.
