BBC Media action is an independent, international, development charity. They aim to use the impact that media publications can create to decrease poverty and provide human rights education. In addition to creating their own conversation sparking media, they provide journalists with training and mentoring, and work with legislators to prove the potential impact media can have and the need for policy change.
BBC Media action believes in the power of media and communication to help reduce poverty and support people in understanding their rights. Their aim is to inform, connect and empower people around the world.
They work in partnership to provide access to useful, timely, reliable information. BBC Media action helps people make sense of events, engages in dialogue, and takes action to improve their lives.
