Dear members, partners, and friends,

At GFMD, one of the biggest challenges we often face is understanding how our network of members and partners interact with one another. Many interactions are difficult to quantify, while others such as engaging in joint, collaborative activities, attending events, or applying for funding together are nearly impossible to track.

That’s why we are happy to announce the launch of our second network analysis study, which you can access at: https://umn.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1WStGfQGrLHJh2d

This study intends to better understand our network, examine the connections among those associated with GFMD, and solidify our knowledge of the greater media development and journalism support community.

Jointly developed with Dr. Adam Saffer at the University of Minnesota, this survey builds on our previous network analysis we conducted with Adam in 2016.

Available as of today, it will be conducted as part of GFMD’s strategic planning in preparation of our next General Assembly. The results will be shared with the community as part of the final report later this year.

Bear in mind that this survey is meant for anyone working with one of our member or partner organisations, and is not limited to one person per organisation. We encourage all staff in your organisations to take the survey.

We kindly ask you to set aside 20-30 minutes to complete this survey, as it will be invaluable to helping us understand how to better serve and connect you.

The survey will close on Monday15 March.

Again, the link to the survey is: https://umn.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1WStGfQGrLHJh2d

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in case you have any questions/comments, or if you experience an issue with the survey. Direct any queries directly to our project and programmes manager, Ivana Bjelic Vucinic, at: ivbjelic@gfmd.info

All the best,
-Jordan and the GFMD team
