GFMD EXPANDING ITS ENGAGEMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL DECLARATION ON INFORMATION AND DEMOCRACY

GFMD has been invited to broaden its engagement with the International Declaration on Information and Democracy – an initiative launched last year by Reporters Without Borders (RSF). The International Declaration on Information and Democracy establishes “basic principles for the global information and communications space.” It acknowledges global information and communication spaces, both offline and online, as a common good which is essential for the functioning and development of a democratic society.

GFMD has been invited to participate in a working session to advise RSF on their Forum on Information and Democracy, which will be held in Geneva on 5 June 2019.
