IJ4EU is offering travel grants so investigative teams it currently supports can attend the IJ4EU UNCOVERED Conference in Budapest on 17 and 18 September 2026. The conference features workshops, snapshot sessions and open discussions on investigative methods, emerging technologies and collaboration practices, and culminates in the IJ4EU Impact Award ceremony.
Eligibility
- Grants are restricted to IJ4EU grantees of the latest funding round.
- Grants of at least €1,000 are available to each investigative team supported by IJ4EU during the latest funding round; current grantees of both of IJ4EU’s support schemes — the Investigation Support Scheme and the Freelancer Support Scheme — are eligible.
- The money is intended to help cover travel and accommodation costs for one or more team members.
- Team leaders of eligible IJ4EU-supported investigations are invited to apply.
- Each eligible team will receive a single travel grant to manage and share at their own discretion, and teams are responsible for deciding how to allocate the funds among their members.
Requirements
- A short online application form, submitted by the team leader.
- Attendance at the UNCOVERED Conference in Budapest on 17–18 September 2026.
- All grant recipients must sign a grant agreement in person at the UNCOVERED Conference.
- No proof of expenditure or further details will be requested by IJ4EU.
