The Gabo Foundation and the Open Society Foundations ( OSF ) is seeking to support the research and publication of innovative journalistic works that address the challenges, challenges and opportunities related to drug policies in Latin America.

The fourth edition of the Fund for Research and New Narratives on Drugs (FINND) will provide grants to projects that broaden the perspectives with which drugs are addressed in the region, and that enhance stories on public health, human rights, youth and women, the environment and the rural context of illegal substances.

The initiative will be awarding 16 scholarships to journalists whose proposals plan to be developed in text, video, audio, photography or multimedia format.

The proposals can be framed in the following categories:

  • Investigative journalism
  • Local journalism
  • New formats such as multimedia documentaries, video editorials, journalistic satire, scrollytelling.
  • Collaborative and transnational journalism

Each journalist or team will have a maximum of three months to research and produce the final version of their work.
