Story Grants to Report on Business Responses to Climate Change in Thailand

EJN, with Thai Journalist Club and Data Hatch, is offering up to ten story grants to Thai journalists to support in-depth reporting on how Thai businesses are responding to climate policy, carbon markets, and international sustainability requirements.

Eligibility

• Applicants must come from Thailand
• This opportunity is open to all eligible journalists, though priority is given to participants of EJN’s Thailand Business and Climate Net Zero workshop held in June 2026
• Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, or radio) and other professional content producers with demonstrated reporting experience
• Open to both early-career and experienced journalists, including freelancers and staff from international, national, local, and community-based media organisations
• Applications from teams of journalists are welcome, with one designated lead applicant who serves as the primary point of contact and grant administrator

Requirements

• A detailed budget with justification, using EJN’s Excel template, with a ceiling of EUR 1,500
• A signed letter of support from an editor, explicitly stating the media outlet will publish the resulting reports by 31 October 2026
• Two samples of stories or links to relevant published work
• A proposal describing the story’s focus, sources, and reporting plan, submitted through EJN’s online application system
