  • Eligibility Criteria: The Specialist Radio Programming Grant, funded by the Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF), is open to: community radio stations; Remote Indigenous Media Organisations or Remote Indigenous Broadcasting Services; Incorporated not-for-profit organisations auspicing applications for program groups broadcast on a community radio station.

Project Themes

First Nations Specialist Radio Programs:

Produced and presented by First Nations people or groups.
On Indigenous-licensed stations, must include 50% Indigenous language content or be produced/distributed in remote Indigenous communities.

Ethnic Specialist Radio Programs:

Produced by and for local ethnic communities, with at least 50% of spoken content in a language other than English (unless English is the common language).
Multicultural programs must address identity, settlement, or multicultural issues.

Radio Reading Specialist Programs:

Conform to Standards for RPH Programming on Community Radio.
Content must meet the needs of people with print disabilities.

Additional Information
  • Applications for The Specialist Radio Programming Grant must meet all reporting requirements for previous CBF grants.
  • Programs must contribute to the development of First Nations, Ethnic, or Radio Reading content.
  • Grant expenditures must comply with approved budget guidelines.

Financial Support: Specific funding amounts based on reasonable budget requests compared to other applicants.

Deadline: Applications are due by 4 March 2025.
