The Ripples Centre for Data and Investigative Journalism is seeking applications for the RCDIJ Africa Fund to support small to mid-scale data and/or investigative journalism projects spanning a wide range of areas consistent with the objectives, including education, health, security, environment, democracy, corruption, economy, migration, technology, culture, and development.

  • Cartoon, and Multimedia.

Funding Information

  • The RCDIJ Africa Fund has a ceiling of $10,000. The approved sum for each project ranges from under $1,000 to $10,000. Each approved sum is determined by a number of considerations, including scale, location, and duration.
  • In addition to monetary support, successful applicants will have their completed works published on the center’s sister platform, Ripples Nigeria, with full editorial support throughout the process.

Applicants are to submit the following in a single PDF document, all in the English Language: Project idea, Project work plan, Project budget, Links to past published works, Data page of International Passport, and CV.

Applicants are to complete the application form or send the required PDF document with contents detailed above, as an attachment to info@rcdij.org. The subject of the mail should read: RCDIJ AFRICA FUND APPLICATION.
