The Pulitzer Center is seeking proposals for enterprise stories that focus on threats to democratic institutions in the United States.

Topics can include, but are not limited to, voting suppression; misinformation and disinformation; intimidation of election officials; the politicisation of election systems; political violence; dark money; and extremism/militias.

The organisation aims to support teams that reflect the communities they report on. Pulitzer strongly encourages proposals from journalists and newsrooms who represent a broad array of social, racial, ethnic, underrepresented groups, and economic backgrounds. They hope this grant can help their partner organizations advance their diversity, equity, and inclusion goals and commitments.
