The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) has announced an open competition to promote justice sector accountability and improve investigative journalism focused on justice sector reform in Moldova.

Media freedom and freedom of expression remain a concern in Moldova, particularly for journalists who continue to be subjected to harassment, intimidation, and frequent lawsuits in connection with their reporting.
