Media Pluralism Fund

• Eligibility Criteria:The Media Pluralism Fund opportunity is open to legal entities with a registered seat in one of the EU27 countries, as well as Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. Eligible applicants include local and regional news outlets, community media, investigative journalism initiatives, and public interest news organizations operating in “news deserts” or areas experiencing strained media pluralism.

Objectives

Financial Support: A total of €1,400,000 will be allocated, with €700,000 available per application round. Approximately 40 media organizations will receive funding.

Deadline:There are two application rounds in 2025:

First deadline: 13 February 2025, 1 PM CET.
Second deadline: 12 June 2025, 1 PM CEST
