- Eligibility Criteria: The media grants marine conservation targets are open for newsrooms and media organizations in coastal countries with a marine border. Media types include newspapers, online platforms, radio, television, multimedia, and journalist collectives. Non-media organizations such as NGOs or academic institutions are ineligible. Previous EJN grantees can apply, but organizations with an existing EJN grant are ineligible.

- Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and their effectiveness.
- Transnational fishing fleets and their impact on marine conservation.

- Emerging technologies like satellite tracking and AI in MPA management.
- National and international policies influencing the 30×30 target.
Objectives:
- To enhance media coverage and the capacity of journalists to report on 30×30 marine conservation targets.
- To conduct in-depth reporting on the effectiveness and progress of MPAs and marine conservation efforts.
To support projects that train journalists and/or produce media coverage related to the 30×30 marine conservation goals.
Additional Information:
- Project Duration: Up to 6 months (ending by October 2025)
- Co-Financing: Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to raise co-financing for the proposed activities.
- Application Portal: All applications must be submitted through the provided portal, and applicants must submit a detailed budget template with their application.
Financial Support: US$ 10,000 per project
