The Rolling Innovation Fund is an open-call funding opportunity under the USAID MEA project implemented by Internews in partnership with FHI 360 and local partners, open to all the media, civil society organisations and individual media professionals interested in developing innovative solutions in content creation and distribution.

Through this Fund, the Media Engagement Activity will support projects that explore new approaches in the media industry or search for new ways of using existing methods. They welcome ideas that aim to improve the quality and reach of diverse content, using new and insufficiently researched channels of transmitting credible information to a wider audience.

Your ideas may include, but are not limited to:

  • Use of relevant new technological and digital trends;
  • Experimental media to target underreported, younger, or hard-to-reach audiences;
  • Re-purposing of the existing content;
  • Use of data analytics for improvement of content production;
  • Use of data visualisation in storytelling;
  • Exploring new platforms and formats;
  • Renewing trust between media outlets and audience;
