The Invisible Life Grant supports cross-border teams of professional journalists and/or news outlets to conduct investigations into farm animal welfare and related European interests, both within and beyond Europe. The programme is open to teams investigating how European agricultural policies, trade, or regulations affect farm animal welfare, supply chains, or environmental outcomes in Europe or globally where European interests are involved.

Eligibility

  • Cross-border teams of professional journalists and/or news outlets investigating issues related to farm animal welfare and European interests, both within and beyond Europe, are eligible to apply.
  • Teams must include journalists from at least two different countries.
  • The proposed investigation must have relevance to European audiences.

Requirements

  • Team members’ details and outlet/organisation details
  • Information about the intended investigation and intended publication channels, including letters of intent from news outlets
  • A detailed budget using Journalismfund Europe’s budget template
  • Additional administrative documents as required by the online form
