The Independent Redress Mechanism plans to collaborate with three (3) civil society organisations (CSOs) in 2023 to assist with communications and outreach with key audiences, including:

  • Regional CSOs working on climate change, human rights and/or access to justice.
  • Local formal and non-formal organisations close to GCF project sites, including, neighbourhood associations, community networks, business associations, formal and informal education centres, community centres, etc.
  • Local activists and advocates in climate change, human rights or similar, working close to project sites.

  • Local media and journalists from radio, TV, print outlets, etc.

CSOs are encouraged to come up with their own set of activities that are the most relevant to reach key audiences in their country/region. CSOs are expected to target audiences in their own country and are encouraged to extend outreach activities to neighbouring countries.

Examples of outreach activities could include:

  • Creation of paid ads on social media
