The overall objective of the “Improving Community Resilience” (IRC) programme is to support the resilience-building of vulnerable communities, including Albanian women and girls, persons with disabilities, religious and ethnic minorities, Afghan evacuees LGBTQIA+, women and men affected by earthquakes, etc.

Interventions and support will prioritize the provision of social care services, organization of awareness-raising activities, and increasing legal knowledge on the rights entitled by vulnerable individuals as well as supporting networking between local public and non-public actors in the three designated municipalities: Durres, Lezha, and Kurbin. Moreover, UNDP will work towards creating an enabling environment for women’s empowerment and fostering civic engagement in decision-making processes.

NGOs are encouraged to provide one proposal choosing one of the following Lots:

Lot 1: Provide innovative approaches to raise awareness, share and increase human rights knowledge and support local civic engagement with a keen focus on vulnerable community members in Kurbin and Lezha areas, including remote areas.

Lot 2: Create an enabling environment for meaningful local civic engagement for active advocacy and increase accountability, fostering partnership platforms of all relevant local and regional actors, increase awareness, and knowledge on the rights entitled to vulnerable women and men in Durres areas, including administrative units and remote areas.

These Lots aim to produce added value to the UNDP Albania Improving Community Resilience Programme and bring new innovative approaches for delivery implementation.
