The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) announced the I. A. Rehman Research Grant for 2022, in honour of the veteran human rights defender and former secretary-general of the Commission.
The organisation will award the grant to an academic, journalist or human rights defender or professional for original research carried out in the broad area of economic and labour rights, including the right to decent work (including fair wages and safe working conditions), the right to form and join trade unions, and the right to social security. They are especially interested in proposals that target vulnerable or disadvantaged categories of workers.
