The U.S. Consulate General Lagos, Public Affairs Section (PAS) is pleased to issue this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for local media capacity development organizations, journalism schools, and professional media associations to submit applications to implement:

  • Political Journalism Workshop – a capacity-building program on political reporting for reporters, political editors covering the 2023 election cycle.
  • Photojournalism and Videography Workshop for photojournalists and video-journalists working in print, electronic (TV), and digital media (online) organizations.

The grantee will organize two separate programs as part of the implementation of this grant. The first component is a political journalism workshop for 100 reporters and political editors from radio, TV, newspapers, and online media.
The second component of the program will include a workshop for 50 photojournalists and video journalists on innovative visual storytelling during the electoral cycle.
