- Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be GDC partner organizations. Organizations must demonstrate that they have been directly affected by the U.S. aid cuts (e.g., loss of funding, project disruptions, financial strain). Funds must be used for democracy-related activities, such as staff salaries, programmatic continuity, or strategic capacity-building. Operational costs like rent, legal counsel, and utilities are not eligible.

Objectives
- Provide immediate financial relief to democracy organizations affected by U.S. aid cuts.
- Ensure the continuity of advocacy, civic engagement, and democracy-related initiatives despite financial constraints.
- Support organizations in maintaining staff and sustaining key programmatic activities.

Financial Support
A total of EUR 50,000 will be distributed among selected organizations under the following categories:
- Up to EUR 10,000 for organizations in severe financial distress with immediate impact.
- Up to EUR 5,000 for organizations facing pressing but less severe challenges.
- Up to EUR 2,500 for organizations needing smaller-scale support to sustain their democracy-related work.
