  • Eligibility Criteria :Applicants must be German or British journalists aged 18–40 years. Eligible applicants include freelancers, trainees, or editors currently working in journalism. Fluency in German and English is required. Applicants must be able to obtain leave for the full duration of the placement.

Objectives
  • Provide international journalistic experience.
  • Foster intercultural understanding between Germany and the UK.
  • Develop professional networks through host media outlets and the fellowship alumni community.
  • Encourage bilateral knowledge exchange between German and British journalists.
Program Themes
  • Eight-week work placement at a British or German media outlet.
  • Participation in introductory and final conferences.
  • Reporting for both the host newsroom and the fellow’s home media outlet.
  • Submission of journalistic work and a minimum three-page reflective report.

Financial Support: One-time scholarship payment of €3,800 to partially cover travel, food, and accommodation costs.
A personal contribution is expected; no remuneration is provided for on-site work.
