Organisation: Fund for Investigative Journalism
Status: Open

Deadline: 27/04/2026
The Fund for Investigative Journalism provides grants and other support for reporters to produce high-quality, unbiased, nonpartisan investigative stories that have an impact. The applications for two types of grants are currenlty open.
Addtionally, the Fund accepts proposals for timely follow-up coverage to original investigations that were produced with grants from the Fund. Grantees can apply for expedited review for follow-up grants up to $2,500.
The funding covers out-of-pocket expenses such as travel, document collection, equipment rental, and reporting time. These grants are intended to enable journalists to pursue in-depth investigations that may otherwise be financially challenging.
The application forms for all types of grants can be found on this page. For FAQs, please visit this page. The last date to submit proposals for Regular and Seed grants in the current cycle is April 27 at 11:59 pm ET.
