The European Commission (EC) is accepting applications for the CSOs as Actors for Inclusive Development and Equality call for proposals.

This call for proposals aims to enhance the capacity and resilience of Armenian civil society organisations as trusted, independent and effective actors, enabling CSOs to meaningfully engage in policy dialogue and effectively influence policy-making, while serving the needs of their beneficiaries and vulnerable groups.

The global objective of this call for proposals is to enhance the capacity and resilience of Armenian civil society organisations as trusted, independent and effective actors.

The specific objective(s) of the CSOs as Actors for Inclusive Development and Equality call for proposals focuses on three (3) Lots including:

LOT 1: Freedom of Media
The Action implemented under Lot 1 is expected to contribute to each of the following three outcomes:

  • Outcome 1. Media organisations are managed and perform professionally, independently and sustainably
  • Outcome 2. Media organisations and actors develop more reader-relevant, analytical, reliable and responsible content
  • Outcome 3. Media regulatory and professional reforms are progressed through participation of civil society, media and public authorities

All actions under each lot should be gender sensitive and rights-based. The actions should address crosscutting issues related to gender-equality, environmental practice, inclusion of people with disabilities and minority groups.

Furthermore, priority will be given to actions that reflect a Rights-Based Approach by which CSOs are supported to ensure the inclusion, participation of and providing a voice to youth, people or groups in a vulnerable situation, minorities, people with disabilities, victims of domestic violence, poor, elderly, homeless people etc. and particularly to those facing such situations in the marzes of Armenia.
