Objectives:
- Support news media sectors essential for democracy and civic participation.
- Strengthen local and regional media, investigative journalism, and public interest news.
- Provide financial support through intermediary organisations that will set up funding schemes for media entities.
- Foster innovations in editorial production, news coverage, and revenue models.
- Enhance media distribution, audience engagement, and technical tools.
- Provide training and legal advice for media professionals.
