This grant, funded by the Earth Journalism Network (EJN), is open to media outlets, journalism institutions, and organizations working directly with media or content creators in low- and middle-income countries across the Asia-Pacific region. Civil society organizations, community-based groups, and research institutions are not eligible for this round. Applicants must be legally permitted to receive grants from foreign organizations. - Type of Funding: Media innovation

Objectives
The EJN Grants aim to:
- Strengthen journalists’ and media organizations’ capacity to produce high-quality, evidence-based environmental reporting.
- Boost the quantity and quality of environmental media coverage, highlighting the interdependence of human and environmental health.
- Raise awareness of the disproportionate impacts of environmental degradation on vulnerable groups, such as women, Indigenous Peoples, and the poor.
- Foster positive changes in environmental governance, private sector standards, and sustainable consumer habits.
Additional Information
- Funding Amount: Grants range from $15,000 to $20,000 per project, with a total of $100,000 available for 2025 (5-6 projects funded).
- Eligible Activities: Training workshops, mentoring, story grants, development of innovative tools, cross-border collaborations, and partnerships.
- Timeline: Projects must be completed within 12 months. Extensions will not be permitted.
Financial Support: Grants range from $15,000 to $20,000 per project
