Award Categories

The Education Journalism Notice has two categories:

  • The Journalist Category
  • The Student Category

The Journalist Category awards grants for the production of reports and the Student Category awards Course Completion Papers (TCCs) on the topic.

Funding Information

In this 6th edition, 8 grants of R$10,000 will be offered for the production of a major report or series of reports on Brazilian public education. Agendas on education in RS and professionals in the State will be prioritised.

The value of the grant can be used according to the requirements of the agenda and to ensure that the professional can dedicate himself exclusively or partially to reporting. Journalists can also indicate possible additional expenses – such as travel, hiring additional professionals such as designers, photographers or data programmers – and request up to an additional R$2,000.

Registration for the Journalist Category can be made until July 20th while registration for the Student Category will open at the end of this year for graduates in 2024, 2023, and 2022.
