Expressions of Interest are sought for Australian Embassy’s Direct Aid Program (DAP). The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a small grants program funded by Australia’s aid budget.

The following projects are eligible for the Direct Aid Program:

  • Projects with an emphasis on community and gender equality, disability, social inclusion, media accountability, community development, education, youth, human rights, the environment, and economic empowerment;
  • Projects in which applicants and their communities make a co-contribution to the program with in-kind support; and
  • Projects that have sustainable outcomes.

Eligible DAP Projects should have a direct, practical, and immediate impact on Nepal’s development. NGO and not-for-profit companies applying for DAP must be registered with relevant Nepal authorities including the district administration offices and/or the Social Welfare Council.
