The Center on Conflict and Development is seeking applications for the Student Media Grant Program (SMGP) to enable and encourage student photographers (especially those interested in photojournalism and international conflict) to document and highlight issues related to conflict and development through stunning visual media in the country where these events are taking place.

SMGP is a travel grant, so students must propose a project abroad, or travel within their country of residence. Through SMGP, grantees will need to demonstrate a 3-month engagement (minimum) with international development issues through extension activities, internships, student research, or other programs and create media content to document that engagement. Students may use photography, videos, blogs, social media and other forms of photojournalism to document how their program contributed to development issues.
