Biodiversity reporting grants

• Eligibility Criteria: Open to journalists (broadcast or written) seeking to report on biodiversity issues in British Columbia. Applicants do not need to be based in British Columbia or Canada. Previous winners are eligible to reapply.
• Type of Funding:  Environmental journalism
• Target Region: British Columbia (stories must focus on BC biodiversity, but applicants can be global).
• Application Language: English

Objectives

• Amplifying biodiversity issues and solutions.
• Supporting evidence-based and accurate science/environment reporting.
• Helping cover research, travel, and related reporting expenses.

Project Themes

• Biodiversity protection in British Columbia.
• Conservation of nature.
• Human impact on ecosystems.
• Solutions-focused approaches to biodiversity challenges.

Financial Support: 16 grants of $10,000 each.

Deadline: 31 August 2025.
