News Product Alliance Summit is a virtual event for news product thinkers to develop deep peer relationships, learn new skills and co-create best practices for product in the news industry.
NEWS PRODUCT ALLIANCE SUMMIT
30 March 2021 - 31 March 2021
Call for participation form, now open through Friday, February 26, will help understand who would like to take part and what you’re hoping to take home with you.
About the Program
The News Product Alliance Summit will feature two programming tracks: Support and Practice. In the Support track, you’ll form deep connections with peers and discuss topics like navigating a unique career path, confronting challenges in your work, and building your confidence as a leader and changemaker. In the Practice track, you’ll have the opportunity to learn news product management skills, share case studies and insights, and collaborate to define best practices for news product management.
Who is this event for?
The Summit programming is built around the concept of Ask/Give. The discussions and workshops at the summit will lead to the best ideas when they include the experiences of people from many backgrounds, roles, and organisations. This is an event for:
people already working in product management and development for news, who want to be part of a larger community changing journalism
people doing the often-invisible work of bringing product thinking to their newsroom, regardless of role or title
people who want to better understand how organising around product can shift the way news organisations operate
