Workshop on AI Reporting

Status: Closed

Organisation: Pulitzer Center

Deadline: 30/09/2024

Location: Online

The Pulitzer Center is offering the workshop “Introduction to Reporting on AI” as part of its AI Spotlight Series. This workshop is designed for reporters with minimal or no knowledge of AI who are interested in getting started.

This online workshop on AI Reporting is geared towards journalists in Africa, Europe and Latin America time zones.

Perhaps you are on the education beat, keen to dive into how AI is entering the classroom; maybe you are on the breaking news desk, increasingly being asked to write about the latest AI claims from Elon Musk. They will begin with the basics, covering the history of AI, how the technology works, and critical technical concepts such as “neural networks” and “deep learning.”

They will also dissect what makes a good AI accountability story, from quick turnaround stories to more ambitious investigations, and dig deeper into a few examples.

The program is offered in English and Spanish.

This virtual workshop on AI Reporting will be held on September 30, 2024.
