The Embassy of France in India is pleased to announce applications for the AFD South Asia Climate Journalism Workshop for young journalists who are passionate about climate and seeking to understand how policies lead to impact.

The South Asia Climate Journalism Workshop aims to bring together journalists from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to reflect on the challenges and opportunities related to climate change, in preparation for COP 29.

Workshop Details
  • Date/Place: 8-10 October, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
  • Flights & accomodation paid.
  • 2 days of theoretical sessions & 1day field visit.
  • Falicitation by a French climate journalism expert
Who can apply?

Ideal candidates should:

  • be between 1l and 35year old.
  • have at least 1 year of experience in covering climate related issues within a newsroom or independently.
  • be able to share published articles related to climate.
  • hold a valid passport that allows them to travel to Sri Lanka.
  • be available to travel to Sri Lanka from 7 to 10 October 2024.
