Reinventing Media Business Forum

Status: Closed

Organisation: The Centre for Media Studies at Stockholm School of Economics

Deadline: 01/08/2024

Location: Riga, Latvia

The Reinventing Media Business Forum is a two-day media business event in the heart of Riga that serves as a meeting space for media professionals — journalists, managers, innovators, digital experts, media and journalism researchers as well as editors and content writers.

The Reinventing Media Business Forum is organised by The Centre for Media Studies at Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, in partnership with Stockholm School of Economics Riga (SSE Riga) and will take place on the 17th and 18th of October 2024 in Riga, Latvia.

The aim of the forum is to bring the media business community together to share, create, and collaborate. Here, you will exchange the latest professional knowledge that will help discover hidden opportunities in the ever-changing media business world.

This year, they aim to make the forum even more interactive and engaging. With parallel workshops, more time allocated for Q&A sessions, and active audience involvement in discussions, they hope to facilitate even more knowledge and experience sharing than the previous edition.

Themes
  • Change from within: Covering better and more efficient workflows, team management, as well as inspiring turnaround stories.
  • Reaching out: Discussing audience engagement and growth, subscription models, advertising, new formats, etc.
  • AI and Technology: Focusing on generative AI tools, techniques, and implementation strategies into everyday workflows for newsrooms with limited resources. In addition to inspiring stories, practical workshops will be offered to provide hands-on knowledge on the most helpful tools.
