Public Service Media for Democracy Conference

The Council of Europe and the European Broadcasting Union, in partnership with the Lithuanian National Radio and Television, are pleased to invite you to our conference ”Public Service Media for Democracy’‘, hosted in a hybrid format on 22 November 2022 by the Lithuanian Parliament in Vilnius.

Marking the 100-year anniversary of Public Service Media, the conference will address the indispensable role of trusted information, even more in times of war and pandemics, when media organisations are facing increasingly complex challenges to their independence and sustainability.

The event aims at promoting high-level discussions between representatives of international institutions, national authorities, civil society organizations and public service media leaders from across Europe.
