The UAM/El País School of Journalism is organising a science journalism workshop on June 19-20. Participants will gain insights into effectively working with scientific information, identifying reliable sources and compelling stories, and tackling challenges like pseudoscience and misinformation.

This science journalism workshop is for you if:

  • You are interested in science, health, the environment or technology.
  • If you have surprised yourself by reading with interest information about science that you thought would never interest you.
  • If you are passionate about stories about new discoveries, characters who dedicate their lives to saving others or extreme expeditions to worlds to explore.
  • If you are a scientist and want to know how to improve the communication and dissemination of your research.
Tools to bring
  • Willingness to ask and common sense.
  • No prior knowledge of science or journalism is required.
Program

This workshop will take place online via Zoom . At the end of the workshop, a diploma will be delivered with the number of hours taught. The cost of the workshop is EUR 130 (US$139).
