Newsroom Pivot Program

The JX Fund, in collaboration with the Center for Sustainable Media and Gazzetta is launching a transformative pilot program that will provide venture support and potential seed funding for exiled and independent media organizations.

Objectives

• Support exiled media outlets in transitioning from survival mode to strategic sustainability
• Equip teams with tools to develop security-aware business and audience growth plans
• Provide mentorship, practical learning, and exposure to investors and potential seed funding

Eligibility Criteria

• Independent media organizations in exile from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Russia, or Syria
• Outlets that have been publishing continuously for at least 12 months
• Organizations with a clear audience and original content (reporting, analysis, essential info)
• Applicants must identify one specific challenge to address during the program
• Annual turnover between €50,000 and €500,000
• Open to experimentation, collaboration, and innovation
• Strong written and spoken English (all sessions and materials are in English)
• Willing to commit 1–2 team members for weekly participation and hands-on project work
