New Visiting Journalists Program 2026

Deutsche Welle (DW) Brazil is launching a new Visiting Journalists Program, replacing its long-standing internship initiative starting in 2026. This new opportunity is aimed at young, early-career journalists who have already worked in newsrooms in Brazil and are looking to gain international experience at DW’s editorial office in Bonn, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a three-month newsroom placement at DW Brazil in Bonn.
• Contribute to editorial content production in a multicultural and international environment.
• Work closely with DW Brazil editors on news and feature coverage with a focus on Brazil.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must hold a university degree in journalism.
• Must be a native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese.
• Must have prior professional experience working in a newsroom in Brazil.
