The Eleventh International Conference on Communication & Media Studies provides an interdisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to explore the evolving role of media and communication in shaping cultural conversations.

Founded in 2015, the Communication & Media Studies Research Network aims to build an epistemic community that fosters linkages across disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries.

The 2026 edition, held under the special focus “The Image as Advocate: Shaping Cultural Conversations”, invites research and contributions that examine how media, technology, and creative practices influence collective behaviors and cultural narratives.

Objectives
  • Explore the intersection of media, communication, and cultural influence.
  • Examine the role of images and visual communication in advocacy and public discourse.
  • Foster interdisciplinary dialogue between academia, practitioners, and creative industries.
  • Encourage collaboration between in-person and online participants through hybrid formats.
  • Promote innovative presentation and publication opportunities within the Communication & Media Studies Network.
