The Center for News, Technology & Innovation (CNTI) is conducting an international survey of journalists and your participation is requested. This survey of journalists is organized by CNTI, in partnership with GFMD and several news and journalism organisations for its distribution.
Objective
The primary objective of the survey is to capture the perceptions and experiences of practicing journalists across the world regarding the role of journalism today, uses of technology in their work, cyber threats and online harms, and the relationship with the government. More information about the survey can be found in the consent form prior to starting the survey.
Completion of the survey is expected to take approximately 17 minutes. The survey is available in nine languages: Arabic, English, French, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili and Ukrainian. You may select your preferred language at the start.
About CNTI
The Center for News, Technology & Innovation (CNTI), an independent global policy research center, seeks to encourage independent, sustainable media, maintain an open internet and foster informed public policy conversations.
Disclosure
- CNTI does not ask questions about personal identifiable information. No names, addresses, contact information, or other personal details outside of basic demographics (e.g., gender and country) are collected.
- Qualtrics survey software is used to collect responses. At the conclusion of the survey, responses to CNTI’s survey will be kept in an encrypted cloud storage system. Once CNTI’s reports have been published, a public dataset — again with no identifying information — will be made available as a way to generate further knowledge for journalism research.
- CNTI will not sell its survey data to third parties.
