The Collaborative and Investigative Journalism Initiative (CIJI) is organising A 3-day in-person investigation residency (30 September – 2 October 2026) at Publix in Berlin for experienced journalists, OSINT investigators, fact-checkers, researchers, and investigative artists. The 2026 edition focuses on three themes: AI and Us, Growing Up with Tech, and Mapping the Depths of the Ocean. They are offering to fund travel and accommodations for up to 20 EU-based selected participants; 10 Berlin-based spots also available; limited self-funded places open to applicants from other regions.
Details
- Participants from EU member states and selected non-EU Creative Europe countries are eligible for funding. Journalists from Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine legally residing in the EU are also welcome.
- Sessions during the investigation residency include plenary talks, thematic workshops, skill shares, and networking.
- Participants must attend the full residency.
- Shortlisted applicants will be notified in early August.
