Call for applications Global South researchers on Internet governance in Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America-Caribbean

This project, based at the University of Gothenburg and led by Dr Hortense Jongen (University of Gothenburg/Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) with co-researcher Prof. Jan Aart Scholte (University of Gothenburg/Leiden University), is looking for three research consultants in the Global South (Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America-Caribbean) to join the research project, ‘Digital Self-Determination for the South? Legitimacy in the Regional Internet Registries’. This project, funded by the Swedish Research Council, will compare attitudes toward AFRINIC (regional Internet registry for Africa), APNIC (regional Internet address registry for the Asia-Pacific region), and LACNIC (regional Internet registry for the Latin American and Caribbean regions) among their respective boards, communities, and staff.
