The Collaboration on International ICT Policy for East and Southern Africa (CIPESA) is pleased to announce the 12th edition of the annual Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa (FIFAfrica25)—the continent’s leading platform for shaping digital rights, inclusion, and governance conversations. This year’s Forum will take place in Windhoek, Namibia, from September 24–26, 2025—a country renowned for its strong commitment to press freedom, gender inclusion, and democratic governance.

Forum Objectives
- Enhance Networking and Collaboration: Foster dialogue among African digital rights leaders
- Promote Access to Information: Commemorate the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI)
- Develop Practical Skills: Offer workshops on policy, technology, and advocacy
- Showcase Advocacy Work: Exhibit tools, reports, art, and campaigns promoting internet freedom
- Connect Research and Policy: Launch the annual internet freedom report and inform national and regional agendas
- Strengthen Strategic Networks: Provide a space for key actors to align on shared priorities
