As the year comes to an end, we at the GFMD would like to extend our warmest regards and thank you for continued involvement with journalism support and media development community. 2018 promises to be an exciting year for our field of work and we look forward to collaborating, sharing and advocating together.
We would like to ask you that in 2018 you communicate with us the things you expect from the GFMD. From webinar proposals to advocacy initiatives, we would like to hear your thoughts on the issues, projects, and general information you think we should focus on. We would also like to ask you to provide us with five current contacts in your organisation that will be using the new GFMD online membership area in 2018. In spirit of transparency, you can see our annual report here.
And while we celebrate, don't forget that the 2017 hurricane season has been one of the worst in the Caribbean so far. The Association of Caribbean Media Workers and GFMD call on international media development community to help journalists and media workers in the Caribbean most affected by the hurricanes to get back to work and to provide a platform for telling of stories and bringing news.
We wish you warm and happy holiday season,
Anne Marie Hammer
