Effective Media Dev and Journalism Support 2022 – A GFMD Survey

Author: Learning | 24. February 2022

GFMD wants to hear from you! To inform the process of collaboratively developing renewed principles for effective media development and support journalism, GFMD has launched a survey to gather perspectives from across the field.

Please answer the survey on effective media support here.

Why take this survey?
It has an impact on our work and the work of our members and the wider community! The results of the last major GFMD survey in 2019:
– Informed GFMD’s strategy and advocacy efforts.
– Have been widely quoted by donors, researchers and policymakers.
– Triggered the creation of two major GFMD initiatives; GFMD IMPACT – the International Media Policy Advisory Centre and the MediaDev Fundraising Guide.

How long does the survey take to complete?
This will vary as one section is dedicated only for recipients of funding. The whole survey should take around 15-20 minutes to answer. However, it would be particularly helpful if you could take additional time to add suggestions and ideas in the comment boxes provided.

This survey will be open for answers until April 2022.

For comments or questions, please contact GFMD head of policy and learning , Tom Law tlaw@gfmd.info.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), your responses will remain anonymous unless you explicitly provide your contact details at the end of this survey. Additionally, your responses will solely be used for the specific purpose of this survey.
