Fondation Hirondelle is is seeking a Support Services Coordinator for the implementation of a project aimed at strengthening media coverage of transitional justice processes in Syria. The role will also ensure solid operational foundations and sustainability of Fondation Hirondelle’s presence in the country. The position is a full time, 18-24 month long assignment based in Damascus and beginning in April 2026.
Key responsibilities
The Support Services Coordinator will:
- Ensure the efficient management of financial, HR, administrative, and logistical functions for Fondation Hirondelle’s operations in Syria.
- Support the opening and operationalization of the country office, including administrative setup, procurement, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Fondation Hirondelle’s internal policies and donor requirements, contributing to sound financial and administrative practices.
- Provide high-quality support services that enable the effective implementation of project activities in a complex operational environment.
Eligibility
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar support coordination role within an international organization or NGO.
- Strong expertise in finance, administration, HR, logistics, and compliance.
- Proven ability to work in complex, evolving, and highly regulated environments.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic; knowledge of French is an asset.
- Reliable, solution-oriented, with a high level of rigor, autonomy, and adaptability.
