Who You are

They are actively seeking vibrant and passionate young female journalists who bring a wealth of experience in newsroom journalism to the table. If you are enthusiastic about making a mark in the media industry, this opportunity is tailored for you.

Where you are based

This fellowship is targeted at female journalists from the East African region specifically; Kenya, Uganda,
Tanzania and Rwanda. Persons from diverse backgrounds, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive
attitude are welcome to apply!

Qualities which qualify you for the fellowship:
  • Background in media with up to 3 years experience,
  • Media entrepreneur (digital or traditional media)
  • Broadcast journalism
  • Print journalism
  • Trade journalism (health, climate etc.)
  • Political journalism
  • Other forms of communication including moderation, strategic communications, NGO comms are
    also considered
