Reporting Fellow

Lighthouse Reports is seeking a motivated Reporting Fellow to support and contribute to our high-impact, cross-border investigations. This six-month, part-time fellowship offers early-career journalists the opportunity to learn from award-winning investigative reporters while helping develop and advance major global investigations.

Responsabilities

• Contribute to seeding new investigations
• Help build reporting coalitions across borders
• Support impact strategy development
• Apply your unique strengths to active investigations
• Receive mentorship from Lighthouse journalists
• Join in-person team meetings where possible
• This is a hands-on, collaborative fellowship designed to sharpen your investigative and reporting skills in a global, high-impact environment.

Key Requirements

• Less than five years of professional experience
• Some prior experience in journalism or a journalism-adjacent field
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong news judgment
• Advanced research abilities (e.g., public records requests, financial tracking tools)
• Commitment to investigative journalism and cross-border collaboration
• Curiosity, creativity, and comfort working within diverse, multicultural teams
