Programme Officer

JournalismAI is looking for a Programme Officer (Full-time) to assist and support the execution of its programmes and activities. The Programme Officer will work closely with the Programme Lead, and the Project Manager & Team Lead, as well as the greater JournalismAI team.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the position:

• Must be legally eligible to work in their country of residence.
• Must be currently based in Europe or Asia.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in journalism, media development, or programme coordination.
• Demonstrated experience working on international projects or with diverse, cross-cultural teams.
• Proven ability to manage projects and activities independently and remotely.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Proficiency in digital tools, including Google Suite and Airtable (or similar project management and data tools).
• Familiarity with the intersection of journalism and artificial intelligence is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a comprehensive marketing plan/strategy for JournalismAI programmes.
• Create and maintain an outreach plan and database for upcoming programmes.
• Support in managing and reviewing applications for programmes.
• Facilitate and manage virtual meetings between participants and other stakeholders.
• Create and implement a comprehensive marketing plan/strategy for JournalismAI’s research initiatives.
• Ideate on the public-facing presentation of research.
• Provide overall support for JournalismAI research activities.
